The aim of this project is to determine the effects of applying crushed basalt on CO2 capture, crop production and soil health through a process known as enhanced rock weathering. This is being done through field trials on a variety of farms and cropping systems across Australia.

The six field trials for our basalt application project have commenced on banana, avocado, cotton, rice, grain and dairy. These trials aim to explore the potential of basalt in improving soil health and supporting carbon sequestration.
