Research continues across the project’s seven trial sites, with the second round of basalt just applied to the banana site and the team preparing the second round of basalt spreading for the northern grain and avocado sties.

The first harvest has been completed in the avocado, northern grain, cotton and rice trials and the first post-treatment soil sampling is about to start in the rice trial. In the southern grains trial, the broad bean crop is growing and deep drainage being collected through an unusually wet winter. In the dairy trial pasture measurements have commenced and fertiliser treatments are being applied regularly.
