We are inviting researchers to submit an abstract for inclusion in our upcoming program.

Please read the Abstract Submission Rules below, prior to submitting your abstract.

Abstract submissions are due close of business 11 February 2026.

Thank you for your interest in presenting at the Enhanced Rock Weathering Research in Australia Symposium, Cairns, Queensland 25 June 2026. Presentations are planned as 15-minute sessions (i.e. 10-minute presentation plus 5 minutes for Q&A).

Abstract Review Process

Once your abstract submission is received, it will be reviewed by the Symposium Scientific Committee. You will be notified via email of the outcome of your submission by 27 February 2026 at the earliest.

Presentation preparation

If you are successful in your submission:

  1. You must register as a participant by 27 March 2026 or as arranged with the Symposium Scientific Committee. Note: Where a registration has not been completed, abstracts will be removed from the programme. This ensures that the programme can be finalised in advance to allow participants to access the details.
  2. Provide a one paragraph bio about the authors and head shots for publication on the website and in event materials.
  3. A copy of your presentation by 22 June 2026.
  4. If you are using MS Powerpoint or PDF, please ensure it is the latest version.

Symposium Abstract Submission Rules

Please read:

  1. Your abstract should be a minimum of 100 words and a maximum of 200 words.
  2. All presenters are required to register as a participant. 
  3. The presenting author is required to ensure that all contributors and funding organisations are aware of the content of the abstract before submission.
  4. All abstracts accepted for presentation will be published online prior to the Symposium.
  5. You may submit more than one abstract. However, presenters that are accepted for oral presentation will be permitted to give only one oral presentation.  
  6. Abstracts will be considered and evaluated according to the following criteria:
  • Research value
  • Clarity and quality
  • Content and methodology
  • Fit with symposium’s theme
